Yes, the it’s X not Y is suddenly everywhere in writing including mine in English. Now sometimes I catch myself using it without AI and wonder if I was using it all along.
Thanks Arturo. This is such an interesting observation and I wonder to what extent it might challenge English as being the lingua franca of many professions in that it would appear English is the most corruptible by AI tools.
Seriously, the distinction you draw between AI's effect on voice in English versus Spanish narrative writing is brilliant. It makes me wonder if the 'cognitive modes' AI helps translate are just inherently less pronounced in storytelling, preserving more of the original rythym?

Almost like the rich get richer. There is so much English text produced so AI gets lots of text and people produce more text and on and on...
